My roommate has a female beta so we put them together, they didn’t fight or anything so we left them together all day

When I got home, I took the female out because she seemed depressed and i think the male ended up biting her b/c she’s usually not red on her gills like this:

I think they mated b/c there’s a weird looking sack hanging out of her

I took a picture of the bubbles b/c it kinda looks like there are eggs in it, but I’m not too sure, it could just be mucus from the bubble nest?
