   Peaceful non n*pping fish are usually fine with betta.Some of the smaller tetras( neon’s,cardinal,glowlites), African dwarf frogs,snails,yamato shrimp and endler’s live bearers are what I have kept with mine.Fish to avoid are gouramis(closely related to bettas),other bettas,any fish that are nippy or aggressive(tiger barbs,most cichlids) and fish that could resemble a betta(guppies).

   The ground bed catfishes are reeeeeeeeeeeeally helpful in cleaning algae.

   The fish do that they see each much better to mix bettas with other fish that does not have long flowing fins the betta also consider tank size and line of sight it is another betta could bet confused and attack the fish thinking it is.
