Arfa asked:

I just bought a female betta today..I hav a male one in a bigger tank and the female one is in a bowl…I kept the tanks in a way that they can see each other..I did that after I put my female one with vamp(my male betta) in the bigger tank and they started fighting, I seperated them..I know I should keep them together..I hav read ALOT of articles about Betta..but the man at the shop told me he breeds by keepin two fish together and he told me to do that too..
However, after seperating..later like after 5 hours..my male beta a small(not tiny) bubblenest and my female blew bubbles as well..
They did that on the place where they see each other..Then I thought I should keep them together a day or two later..but then I see my male betta broke his bubblenest..I’m just confused..I want to know if this is normal..I also wanted to knw when should I keep them together..as in after how many days?
***I shouldnt keep them together

My female fish is white..This means I wont get to see vertical bars..Is there any way I can know she wants to mate? Like the she blew bubbles where she can see my male fish..Does that mean she wants to breed?
I have never bred betta fish and any help from here would be very appreciated..Thanks =)
To “Viking Princess”..

U r no one to judge me..I’m here for help..Not judgement..maybe I’m here because I’m inexperienced..I listened to a man who breeds betta fish like hell..if that makes me inexperienced then I hav got nothing to say..I seperated them right after they started fighting..if I really dint care bout my fish, I wudnt be here writing questions..
