A five gallon is a good size yet I don’t recommend a filter.You’ll have to take a gallon out and a fresh one in once a month.Clean your tank with a scrubber and clean it often.Feed it a pinch twice a day.Don’t expect your Beta to move much because they are slow fish and quite motionless.And you don’t need a heater!
