Sarahhh asked:
so my roommate and i have a betta fish, and she goes to feed him today, but he’s not in his bowl. we’re 100% positive he’s not in there. i highly doubt anyone took him, so i’m wondering, can they hop out of water? is it possible he jumped out and died on the floor?

they can jump and you should put him in a tank of 2.5 galloons or more
check the floor arround the bowl
they will jump out of their home if it’s not covered properly.
they can jump …lol… i have a jumper and i ended up having to get a tank with a lid because he is so jumpy…he is really happy when i feed him and i have caught him a couple of time darting for his food and fly out of the tank … crazy little guy!
in the wild they like to jump from mud puddle to mud puddle
here is a really neat link

The next one consider this bettas do jump they require heat and filtration ideally you should have had it in bowl because they really should not be kept in bowl because they require heat and filtration ideally.
An expert for the next one consider this bettas do jump they require heat and filtration ideally you should have.
