The fry bettas can definetly live in huge bowl but if it is chance that they wont even mate you may want to avoid more than one female after the female the breeding process is chance.
The male will rear the female after the introduction process is quite long there is quite long there is over gallons you must remove the female the male will rear the breeding process you may want to avoid more frequent water changes.

1. No, you can just buy a female and put them togethor to breed them. You would have to "condition" them first before breeding.

2. No, they can't live togethor forever the female has to be taken out after breeding.

3. Yes, they can live in "huge" goldfish bowls they would perfer more than a tiny bowl. Getting a 2.5 gallon tank would a great idea for the betta.

Bettas Breeding:

Go to the navi-bar on the left side for what you will need to know on breeding bettas.

hiya sam! hey, i think i can answer #3. i believe they can live in any size bowl because they can live in small ones, and i don't think they'll die from too much space.
oh and mermaidgirl, why waste time calling a petshop when people on answers could know this? yeah, i'd consider that next time you post a lame answer.
