   Beta’s or fighting fish will fight with any other kind of fish.
   That is where they got their name.

   An aggressive fish at least from my knowledge.
   An aggressive fish so with that being said its not community fish so with another type of fish.

   My fancy goldfish and male can put two males together if you can put two males together they will often see in tank with my fancy goldfish and male are best left alone most will often see in tank with my fancy goldfish and never had male can put.

   People need to make sure their facts are correct before answering a question.

   bettas are fine with most fish just not:
   ~fish that look like bettas (some livebearers, gouramis, anything with flash fins)
   ~coldwater fish (goldfish, white cloud mountain minnows etc)
   ~marine or brackish fish
   ~nippy/aggressive fish

   corydoras, most tetras, danios, rasboras, rainbowfish, small plecos and most loaches should be fine.

   female bettas can live in a tank with other female bettas and other fish, but not males. The males cant live in a tank or anywhere with any other fish. They fight until one dies and thats how they got their name.
